Skincare Favourites: My Everyday Routine

Since having my little girl, I find that I don’t really want to wear a whole lot of make up or want to spend the time doing my usual routine; however I haven’t lost my love of makeup all together and when a special occasion calls for it, I really enjoy taking the time to do my makeup properly.

One thing that I have been heavily invested in recently, has been my skincare.

I’m a big believer in self care and try to give myself 10-15 minutes every day to take care of my skin and so here are the products that I am loving every day as part of my skincare routine.

Face Wash and Cleansers

The Origins Ginzing facewash is my favourite all time face wash. It has such a lovely refre hing smell to it and gets super foamy when washing your face, so I’d suggest a small amount to start off with.

The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is a classic and something I love to use a couple of times a week; sometimes when I love to use it in the bath where it’s all warm and steamy 😂.

Day Creams and Serums

I’m always looking for my skin to look fresh, dewy and hydrated, so my day creams and serums both reflect this.

The Clarins Hydra Essential gel cream is one of my favourite day creams to use as it’s light weight and also helps to keep my skin hydrated!

My day serum is the highly anticipated, Drunk Elephant C-Firms Day Serum. I know this has had a lot of hype and in all honesty, this serum was passed onto me by a friend. I currently use it a few times a week, as anything more makes my skin too oily. This serum claims to be bursting with antioxidants to help brighten skin and reduce the signs of aging - I can confirm it definitely lives up to its claims!

Night Cream and Oils

When it comes to night creams and oil, I love something is super rich, nourishing and botanical smelling (mainly as it reminds me of being in a spa 😂) .

The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream is like luxury in a jar. Similar to the hype around the Drunk Elephanr serum, the product is meant to boost your complexion by making it feel youthful, radiant and firmer - all of which it feels like you do. If you combine it with the eye cream, then it’s an absolute game changer!

On the days when I don’t use a serum, I use the Liz Earle Concerntrated Night Oil, which is infused with rich botanical oils like Rosehip, Neroli and Argan Oil. The smell of this is like being in a spa - it’s simply divine!

Face Masks

Once a week I like to treat myself to a face mask to help balance and reset my skin.

I know I’m late to the party in saying this, but the Alex Steinherr x Primark skincare collection is incredible. I purchased the Sleep Spa overnight lip balm and face mask, which is vegan and fragrance free! You can only buy this in store and Primark seem to have removed it from their website - I hope this doesn’t mean it’s the end of it!

My other go-to face mask of the moment is the new Simple 5 Minute Reset Hydrogel Mask  One of my besties (and also a tired mum) reccomended this to me and it’s become my favourite face mask to use; it’s a very slimy sheet mask but it works wonders and leave your skin looking hydrated and fabulous.

So there you have it! My every day skincare routine and favourites. I’d love to hear what products you’re loving at the moment.
