Enjoy a Taste of Belgium with Costas new Hot Chocolate

Whilst backpacking through Europe, I was devastated to find out that we didn't have enough time to stop off in Belgium and enjoy some mouth watering, authentic Belgian chocolates.

But, never fear, for I will return to Belgium either very soon to fill my tummy full of tantalising truffles from La Belgique Gourmande. This famous chocolate store is location on the rue de la Colline and is close to the Grand Palace.

But for now, I will have to make use of the yummy new range of Belgian Hot Chocolatesfrom one of my favourite coffee houses, Costa*

A taste of Belgium in your local Costa

Everyone has their favourite place to relax and enjoy a drink and for years me and my best friends (including the lovely In the Frow, who I stole this picture from) often enjoy a cheeky little Costa date where we indulge in their hot chocolates with all the trimmings and have a good old gossip.

A taste of Belgium in your local Costa...

So, when the lovely people at Costa alerted me to their new luxury Belgian hot chocolate range - I had to write up a quick post on this chocoholics delight.

You have the option of two tastes of Belgium - stating with the hot chocolate shot. Made by melting pure 100% Belgian chocolate *SWOON* - for the price of £2.50 this is what I call heaven at good price.

The second option on the menu is a smaller amount of melted Belgian hot chocolate that is then served with super creamy milk - I can tell already that this is going to be a very tough choice. This once may be more 'drinkable' and isn't too much more money - costing £2.95 per mug.

Either way, it looks like my next mini adventure to see my best friends will also include enjoying our regular Costa trips with a little taste of Belgian.

Spa, Sushi & Shopping: Mother’s Day Events

She was the first lady to hold my hand when I was scared to take my first flight. She packed my backpack on my first camping adventure with school. She’s the women who has always encouraged me to follow my dreams and dared me to swim with the sharks on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

My mum is the most incredible women that I know and I hope to be as amazing as she is when I become a mother. That’s why this Sunday I am treating her to a day of spa treatments, sushi and shopping.

My Mothers Day Schedule

Combining all of her favourite things, with some important mother and daughter bonding time, our first stop is a day spa in Nottingham where we will enjoy back and foot massages which will be followed by a much needed manicure. (If you would like to book your mum into a last minute spa, then see my posts Spas for Mothers Day)

Take time out when travelling – include a day spa on your checklist!

Our next stop will be to head to our favourite restaurant, Yo! Sushi, to enjoy a glass of bubbly with a salmon and avocado hand roll. YUM!

From here we will then head into Nottingham for some much needed retail therapy. Me and my mum are so close and we have bonded over many things in my life, but shopping is always something we love to do together. We also have an interest for fine jewellery and love to invest in very simple, vintage pieces in silver or rose golds.

Of course she has more money than me and can invest a little bit more in designer jewellery.

Links of London Loves Mothers Day

So, when I saw In the Frow’s post about spoiling your mum for Mothers Day with Links of London* by simply posting a mood board on pieces your mum would love – I had to enter!

I have collected my favourite pieces that I think my mum would love to wear - with a chance that she may win them. If you would like to enter for your mum then simply click here.

Wish me luck!

Home Ramblings: Parisian Chic

One of my favourite destinations in the world - and I'm sure many people would say the same - Paris.
From their Gothic architecture to their famous fashion designers and artists. Three words that spring to mind when I think of Paris is chic, classic and cosmopolitan.

Annie's American Burgers in Nottingham

When moving to a new city, you always have those exciting times a head of new places, landmarks and restaurants to explore. So when I heard about this 'must-eat' burger restaurant in Nottingham, I was intrigued to say the least.

If you've ever read the eat section of Eat Travel Love, then you will know I've been to my fair share of proper burger restaurants like Byron Burger, Almost Famous, Five Guys, Johnny Rockets - yes I'm a fatty.
Then when I started to look more into this "Annies Burger Shack", I soon discovered this is an oasis of classic American food that specialises in over 30 different burgers. So I paid a visit and it's safe to say the Elvis burger is one of the best things I have even eaten.

Here I have gathered all the info that you will need to experience an epic Annie burger.

People all over the world, start a love train!

One thing I love about travelling is getting to make friends from all around the world. In my travel adventures, I have been fortunate enough to become friends with people from the USA, Canada Greece, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Australia and various parts of the UK.
It's in these friendships that I have shared some of my favourite travel memories, like camping under the stars in Australia and climbing an active volcano in Guatemala and I feel so grateful for all the adventures that I have been able to share with them.

From marvellous mints to luscious lilacs, I love love love the idea of pastels at any time of the year.
Especially when it comes to wearing pastels in the Spring time. Now is the moment to ditch those dark winter shades and bring out some brighter colours for your travel adventures.
