Home Ramblings: Parisian Chic

One of my favourite destinations in the world - and I'm sure many people would say the same - Paris.
From their Gothic architecture to their famous fashion designers and artists. Three words that spring to mind when I think of Paris is chic, classic and cosmopolitan.
I love paying a visit to the fabulous city to eat amazing food, shop for vintage clothes and be inspired by array of art galleries. (See my Paris Adventures here
But most of all, I love how one city can inspire fashion and interior design throughout the world.
For my new home, I am currently looking at Parisian themed ideas for my bedroom.

Using this chic shade of aqua with classic neutral colours, I came up with this Home Ramblings bedroom inspired board over on my Polyvore account

Candles & Fragrances

Candles are a must for me in any room, but you will also find a yummy smelling candle in my bedroom. Yankee candles are perfect for this kind of this. I think I'll opt for this 'soft blanket' fragrance to help me feel extra warm and cosy at night.

Alternative Storage

I love love LOVE these suitcases in lilac, aqua, cream and olive. They are a great way to add a little personality to bedroom/home storage. Plus these have the added 'travel' element to my bedroom which is very personal to me. Check out Oliver Bonas for these fab boxes.

Love Pillow

You can never have too many cushions in my eyes; and what would a Parisian themed room be without a little amour within it. This cream and gold sequin heart pillow is perfect! Chic and fabulous all at the same time.

Tick-Tock Vintage

This clock from Laura Ashley is adorable and a perfect fit into my Parisian chic theme. Despite the fiancee hating clocks in the bedroom - because of the ticking noise - it is going to be a must purchase.

Parisian Prints

When I saw this Paris canvas, straight away I thought of the Moulin Rouge. Combing what looks like bright lights and the Eiffel Tower, this cute print would look great in my Parisian themed room.
