NYC Accommodation: Broadway Hotel & Hostel

Our big adventure has begun and let me say these past 5 days have flown by in New York.

It feels like we've walked a thousand miles but it has all been more than worth it. We've taken in the sights and sounds and even some pretty hilarious quotes from the local New Yorkers as we've made our way through the streets and to the famous landmarks. But none of this would have been possible if it were not for the great location of our accommodation, The Broadway Hotel and Hostel.

New York Food: Ellen's Stardust Diner

Words can not describe how amazing this place is! If you love classic American food and broadway musicals then this is a place I highly recommend you visit.

Located off Broadway and West 50th you can't miss the bright lights outside of the fabulous Ellen's Stardust Diner...a place recommended to me by a number of people who had previously visited NYC, I knew I had to visit the moment I heard about it. This is a 50's inspired diner with all that jazzzzzzz...

Goodbye Manchester...For Now.

For those of you who read my blog, you will know that I often have write posts on 'Manchester and Hidden Manchester' and that's because I live and breath the city.

My Manchester story began in 2006, when a small town girl joined the love of her life to a new and vibrant city that exuded a passion for music, fun and fashion. After 4 years at university, I moved to Salford and began my career in marketing and the rest is history. Until today that is, today I leave my beloved city in search of a new travel adventure in America.

Trekking through the Franz Josef Glacier: New Zealand

Whilst driving from the North to South Island of the idyllic  country that is New Zealand, we decided to make a stop off in the South Island and visit the Franz Josef Glacier to see what all the fuss was about.

Many of my friends had taken this journey through the icey caves and rivets and had raved about how amazing the whole experience had been. Never one to turn down a new adventure, I told my boyfriend that we should pay a visit to this and take a trek up there and so we did and we booked out tour with Franz Joseph Glacier Guides (www.franzjosefglacier.com/).

Hidden Manchester: Urban Garden Festival

As the sun was shining in Manchester (for a change) me and one of my very best friends decided to take a walk into the city and do some pre-travelling shopping.

When walking through the Victoria station area of Manchester, we discovered two giant balloon followers and as we got a little closer from the Manchester Cathedral we saw that it was actually a cute little urban garden festival called Dig The City.
