My Manchester story began in 2006, when a small town girl joined the love of her life to a new and vibrant city that exuded a passion for music, fun and fashion. After 4 years at university, I moved to Salford and began my career in marketing and the rest is history. Until today that is, today I leave my beloved city in search of a new travel adventure in America.

My love of Manchester happened within three months, when I was living off Oxford Road in student accommodation. Probably one of the liveliest areas of the city, especially during term time. Full of cheap, boho style bars, cafes and clubs. The best years of my life so far were spent living here and attending university at MMU.

As time passed on, I became more and more hooked. It was here that I became inspired to travel Europe and Australia, due to the international students and people I had met. As my infatuation continued with Manchester, I began to love new areas of the city, from their vintage Northern Quarter to the peaceful canal side bars in Castlefield.
When choosing the option of MMU on my UCAS application, I could not even began to imagine the adventures, friends and memories it that would be created tin the next 7 years of my life. Now, I finally began to understand how the fictional character, Carrie Bradshaw could be so in love with New York City, as I to have those same passions for Manchester.
Although it would seem that I am not alone in my love for Manchester, people and celebrities worldwide have also expressed their love for this magical city.
